Ice Cubes are little Batteries

Batteries are little potential-energy storage devices that store energy in a chemical state to release it later.

Ice cubes are little negative batteries. They store a lower state of energy as a chemical (?) state, and "release" it later by sucking heat/energy into itself.

So ice cubes are batteries in reverse. Weird.
